Importing your Pictures & Proofing them

Once you've taken your pictures for portraits, you'll need to move them from the SD card to the server. You could open Photoshop and the choose file open and re-save the file to your ID# on the server. It would work, but it would take a lot of time... especially if you went all out and took more photos than you needed to. There is an easier way and the video below explains it.

With your pictures now on the server, now you can make a proof sheet for them. A proof sheet is a print with small thumbnails f each of your shots on it. If you have ever had professional pictures taken, often you will get a proof sheet with them. It's something tangible that you can use to choose which pictures you would purchase. We'll do something similar. This handout describes the steps you would take to turn your pictures into a proof sheet. The video below will walk you through it too.
