Using the Scanner

After you draw a rough of your logo and have colored it, we need to get it into the computer. There are two ways to do this: Scan the logo with the computer and scanner in the classroom or take a photo of it and upload/download it. Scanning it will give you the best quality but taking a photo is by far the easiest way! Both versions are described below

Scanning

To do this, you will have to be logged in to one of the desktop computers. These are the computers that have scanners hooked up to them, so if you aren't on one of these computers, you won't be able to scan. Once you've logged on to one of these computers and have your rough drawing in hand, the video below will describe how to use Photoshop to import your drawing.

Taking a Photo & Transferring from the Phone to Laptop

To do this all you need to do is take a photo with your phone and upload it to Google Drive, just like we do to move photos from your phone to drive for the weekly photos that we take for class. Below you will find a video for uploading on both Android and Apple devices.
Once the photo is on Drive, it's simple to move it to your laptop. Simply launch your browser on your laptop, log into Google (but it has to be the same account that your using on your phone) and open Google Drive. Your photo should be there at the top if you just uploaded it on under recent. Select the picture and choose download. The video below will show you the process.
